Twilight Warsoul can be infused with to change its attributes and with the right customization these gear sets may compete with Rank 9 third cast.The third cast of Twilight Warsoul is on par with Rank 9 third cast, but players will lose desired set bonuses such as the +100 strength/dexterity/magic bonus. However, just like with the previous casts, Twilight Souls can be used to change its attributes and surpass Rank 9 third cast. Players can also use the to change the set bonus they use, though Rank 9 third cast is currently not available in the repository. Due to this, it is generally advised for players to make Twilight Warsoul gear from scratch or from Rank 8 third cast in order to avoid permanently losing the Rank 9 third cast gear and set bonuses. The third cast of Twilight Warsoul with the proper Twilight Soul customization is currently the best armor set in the game.Arigora Colosseum At level 100 players can compete in the to begin farming the best capes and rings that exist in the game.

The cape and the ring have five casts each. Players can craft the first stage of the ring and cape for only 100 Arigora Coins. They are decent cheap gear pieces if the alternative options are too expensive, or they can be used as temporary gear until they farm or buy something better.Although the cape can be farmed from scratch, players can choose to skip a step and upgrade their Wings of Ascension cape or Heaven Raveger cape instead. The ring has multiple upgrade options including: the Sky Cover, the Cloud Stir, the Reawakening VI Finger Bead rings or the rings.The Crown of Madness can also be upgraded to a Crown of Apex. It is not a true upgrade, but it merely removes the set bonus from the Wings of Ascension and adds it to the helmet itself so that players will not have to break the set bonus when they upgrade their Wings of Ascension cape to the Arigora version.Thursday Night Fights Players can obtain a powerful helmet through the PvP event. The final room spawns a chest and the person who manages to dig it will obtain an item that can be exchanged for a heavy, light or arcane helmet. This helmet is the endgame option of all players that cannot afford a Crown of Madness or players playing support classes that prefer a more defensive helmet.

Players can also farm an identical helmet, but with a different name, through the.Miscellaneous Gear At this level players can use the Celestial Resonance necklaces and the Exotic Chaos belts, which are currently some of the best ornaments in the game. These ornaments are crafted using the, which is a rare item obtained from chance packs in the or bought from other players. If players cannot afford these ornaments, they can farm a Puzzle Cube necklace and a Warsong Barrier belt, which are great ornaments for level 100 despite being available as early as level 80. Players will use their Rank 9 belt instead of a Warsong Barrier belt, however, due to the set bonus.The Sky Cover and Cloud Stir rings are available at this level. They can be farmed through the, but players usually obtain them from chance packs from the Boutique. These rings can be upgraded at the forges or using the rare pack item. The upgrades of these rings were considered the best until they received an additional upgrade path through the in the expansion.At this level players will also work towards obtaining a Crown of Madness and a Wings of Ascension.

They are originally level 60 gear, but are actually meant for the high level players who can afford buying them or the competitive PvP players that can participate in PvP events.

Puzzle Quest 2 is a video game developed by Infinite Interactive for the Nintendo DS, Xbox Live Arcade, iOS, Android, Windows Phone 7,^[4] and Microsoft Windows. It was released on June 22, 2010 by D3 Publisher. A version for the PSP was in development,^[5] but was cancelled due to sound bugs.^[6] It is the sequel to Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, and like its predecessor, it combines role-playing with strategy and puzzle elements. It uses a competitive, Bejeweled-style, 'match three game' playfield to simulate combat and other activities common to role-playing games.^[7]

Attributes[edit]

Each character has five basic attributes. Strength (Red) increases the chance of a Critical hit from a weapon and the amount of bonus damage that matching Skulls does. Agility (Yellow) increases the chance of blocking an attack and the number of bonus points gained from matching action gems. Intelligence (Blue) increases the number of extra moves that character has when playing mini-games and the maximum amount of mana a character can store. Stamina (Green) increases the chance of Critical Blocking and the number of life points a player has. And Morale (Purple) increases the chance to resist an opponent's spell and the amount of damage a weapon does. Different types of characters can earn attributes faster than others. Increasing an attribute will increase that color's utilization in combat. For example, increasing Strength increases the amount of Red mana a player can hold, start with, and collect.

Classes[edit]

There are four character classes to choose from at the start of the game. Barbarians grow in Stamina and Strength and are considered to be an 'all-rounded' class. Barbarians can use extreme 2 handed weapons. Sorcerers grow in Intelligence and Morale, they use spells for all situations, and they can use 'Mana Tonics' that allow the user to get Extra mana for a match. Assassins grow in Agility and Morale, they start the game with low attack but have severe spells that can cause lethal damage combos, and they can utilize severe poisons. Templars grow in Morale and Stamina, have high levels of defense and life points, and can use extreme armor and shields.

Combat[edit]

Gameplay is similar to that of Challenge of the Warlords. Each player takes turns trying to match at least a set of three gems to gain mana or action points or to do damage to the enemy. If the player has enough mana, they can use a spell instead, or if they have enough action points, they can use an item that can consist of a weapon (which damages the enemy), a shield (which increases defense for a limited time), or a potion (which adds an amount to a mana reserve or number of life points). The tiles have changed from the last game. There are Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, and Purple gems, which when collected add a certain amount to that specific mana reserve. When skulls are matched, they damage the enemy based on the number of skulls matched and what that player's skull damage bonus is. When the action gems are matched (which look like gauntlets), they are added toward that player's action reserve so that player can use specific items. Wildcards can appear with a multiplier like the last game. Gold and Experience are obtained after battle along with loot items. Certain mini-games have different sorts of tiles. Matching a set of four gives the player an additional move, while a set of five also generates a wildcard. Illegal moves are no longer penalized. If there are no moves available on the board, all the mana reserves of each player are lost, and the board is reset.

Reception[edit]

Puzzle Quest 2 received generally positive reviews, garnering a Metacritic score of 81% for the Xbox 360 release^[8] and 74% for the Nintendo DS release.^[9]IGN's review praised the game's combination of casual puzzle gameplay with added layers of depth and extensive single- and multiplayer modes.^[10] In his review for Eurogamer, Christian Donlan called the game's puzzle mechanics 'flavourless' and its fantasy setting 'bland,' but stated that the game remains 'frighteningly talented when it comes to targeting your compulsions.'^[11]Giant Bomb's Brad Shoemaker identified the game as a return to form for Infinite Interactive after what he identified as missteps in Puzzle Quest: Galactrix and Neopets Puzzle Adventure.^[12] The PC version received positive reviews from GameSpot, which praised the addictive gameplay^[13] and from 1UP, whose review states that the game 'improves on the original in almost every way.'^[14]
